First Bloom of Spring
Spring is the idea behind this bouquet, and its name says as much: a first bloom after the quiet months. The florist chooses whichever seasonal flowers look best at the moment, so the exact mix shifts with what the season offers, and that changing character is part of its appeal. Families in Puerto Rico often order something like it for Easter Sunday, when relatives come together after church. It is made by hand on the island and delivered in person in Mayagüez, Trujillo Alto and other towns. One note for senders overseas: Puerto Rico keeps Atlantic Standard Time all year and never changes its clocks, so check the hour before you phone.
